What I do
Simply put, I am a professional photographer who specializes in headshots. I shoot primarily “Peter Hurley” style, which means I shoot in studio, mainly with white background, and with a horizontal crop on the image. This style of headshots was almost entirely developed by legendary headshot photographer Peter Hurley.
90% therapist, 10% photographer
I want to bring out the best of my clients in front of my lense. I love capturing that priceless moment when a client’s a true self shines. I like to follow legendary photographer Peter Hurley’s philosophy: I am 90% therapist, 10% photographer. It’s my job not only to direct you to this thing or that, but more importantly to get your into comfortable enough space where you can show the camera who you really are. I love what I do. I love working with my clients. I love bringing out the best of them. The image you show to the world, whether an actor or model or business professional, better be worth a million bucks. However, I’m aiming for the priceless shot.
I've been practicing photography since 2008, but it wasn't until recently that I decided to go professional. I first started when my mom put me in charge of posting decorative pillows and pet beds for her online business. At the time I had no idea what I was doing, but I certainly enjoyed capturing a beautiful image. Over the years, I began practicing through other avenues: pets, food, architecture, etc. My talent for it grew, and so did my passion. Thanks to support from friends and family, I gained the confidence to pursue my passion for photography full-time.
